- Pets must be on a leash when entering or exiting the owners vehicle. No pets are permitted to run free inside the salon.
- We take your pet's safety and comfort at Paw Avenue very seriously. To ensure the health and safety of your pet(s) and other guests, all pets receiving grooming at Paw Avenue must have an up-to-date Client Record on file.
- All pet parents must be reachable by phone during the time of their pets service so any questions or necessary changes can be communicated. If you are not able to answer your phone while you pet is here, it is best to schedule on a day where you can be reached.
- It can be risky to shave a severely matted pet because you don’t know what’s underneath. Customers should be aware of the range of the risks that can occur from clipper irritation such as nasty hot spots, nicks, and even the animal jumping at the wrong time. There is a risk of hematomas once a badly-matted ear that hangs down is shaven. Once the ear leather has been freed of mats, sometimes the combination of a renewed blood supply and the animal shaking its head at the lighter weight the ear which causes the ears to hit the head, resulting in blood rushing to the area and swelling, sometimes even seeping out the bottom. We do use happy hoodies and slowly release matts to reduce the risk of hematomas.
EAR CARE AND EAR HAIR REMOVAL (Plucking)
- All pets will have their ears cleaned with a mild ear cleaner. Ear hair will be not be removed unless you specify. If your pet has foul odors or redness in ear we will not be able to remove hair. Please consult with your veterinarian as they can diagnose the odors/redness and determine the best course of action.
CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULING
Please understand that when you forget or cancel an appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time. Clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive our services. Our groomers time is reserved specifically for your pet, there are no exceptions to this policy. The following fees and terms apply:
- NO fees are applied for cancellations or reschedules that have given 48 hours or more notice.
- Cancellations or Reschedules giving less than 48 hours' notice will result in a charge equal to 25% of the reserved service amount.
- No Shows or Cancellations will be charged 75% of the reserved service amount on the day of the appointment.
