Meet the Owner
Elizabeth’s journey into the world of pet grooming began unexpectedly in 2021. What started as a potential horticulture opportunity through an acquaintance—now a friend—turned into a temporary part-time position at a local grooming shop. Surrounded by adorable pups and devoted pet parents in a fast-paced environment, Elizabeth quickly realized she had found her calling in the pet-care industry.
Determined to build a strong foundation, she enrolled in grooming school. After discovering her first program was fraudulent, Elizabeth did extensive research and chose Animal Behavior College for its reputable, hands-on training. Upon completing the written portion of her studies, she drove to Mandeville three days a week for four months to complete her externship. Those long drives became valuable time for reflection, listening to leading professionals in the pet-care industry, and refining her vision for providing exceptional quality care.
In 2022, with the help of family and friends, Elizabeth began grooming out of a vintage RV that was transformed into the original Paw Avenue. As her client base grew, so did her dream. After a determined search for the right location, she found the perfect space in Prairieville, Louisiana. Paw Avenue officially opened its brick-and-mortar storefront on January 4, 2024, again with the incredible support of family and friends.
A lifelong Louisiana resident, Elizabeth is proud to call this community home. She shares her life with her wonderful partner, amazing children, and a beloved “zoo” of animals—Charlie, Bowser, Cinder, Manew, Helios, Luna, and Buddy. Committed to excellence, she believes in continual education through workshops, trade shows, and both online and in-person learning platforms. Elizabeth holds a grooming certificate from Animal Behavior College and a science degree from Louisiana State University—Geaux Tigers!
Under her leadership, the Paw Avenue team is trained to treat every pet with respect, compassion, and the highest standards of care.
Chasity - Salon Manager
With 21 years of award-winning corporate leadership experience, Chasity built a distinguished career that allowed her to serve in multiple locations while earning numerous company awards for excellence. In 2021, she made the decision to step away from the corporate world and return to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to pursue new avenues of interest.
In 2024, she played a pivotal role in opening the brick-and-mortar location of Paw Avenue Pet Grooming. As Salon Manager, Chasity is responsible for ensuring every team member understands their role and that the salon’s standards are consistently upheld. She is deeply dedicated to each animal that comes through the door and is known for maintaining firm policies that protect the safety, structure, and professionalism of the business.
Her favorite breed is the Yorkshire Terrier—just like her beloved Prince, who holds her heart—and that same love and care is extended to every pet she serves.
About Us
Blair-Lead Grooming Assistant
Blair serves as the Lead Grooming Assistant at Paw Avenue, bringing a lifelong love of animals and a strong work ethic to the team. Growing up surrounded by animals—including cattle, horses, goats, and chickens—she developed a natural comfort and connection with animal care from an early age. Her previous experience working with animals made the pet-care industry a perfect fit.
Known for her positive attitude and welcoming smile, Blair is always eager to help both her team members and the pets in her care. Her strong leadership qualities and willingness to support others make her an important part of the Paw Avenue team and daily salon operations.
Outside of the salon, Blair enjoys spending time with her horses and showing goats. She is active in barrel racing and pole bending, combining her passion for animals with competitive riding. Blair is also a student at Louisiana State University—Geaux Tigers! One day, she hopes to add a Mini Australian Labradoodle or Cockapoo to her own family of animals.
Claire-Grooming Assistant
Claire is a Grooming Assistant at Paw Avenue who is passionate about animals and is working toward her goal of becoming a Professional Pet Stylist. While she originally began pursuing cosmetology, she soon realized her true passion was working with animals and decided to focus her career in the pet-care industry.
Claire is known for being thoughtful, thorough, and eager to learn. She brings a positive attitude to the team and enjoys growing her skills each day. Her knowledge of dog breeds and behavior is well above average, allowing her to better understand and care for the pets that come through the salon.
A true animal lover, Claire shares her home with two dogs—a husky mix and a Yorkie—as well as a leopard gecko she has cared for for nine years. Her dedication to animals and her commitment to continuing her education make her a valued member of the Paw Avenue team.
Riley - Developing Stylist
Riley is a Developing Professional Stylist at Paw Avenue who brings focus, patience, and a strong attention to detail to every pet he works with. Known for being a true perfectionist when it comes to styling, Riley takes pride in his work and strives to ensure that each pet looks and feels their best. He is also a great listener and is always eager to learn, making him a valuable part of the Paw Avenue team.
Riley has chosen pet grooming as a long-term career and is fully committed to developing his skills and growing within the industry. His dedication, work ethic, and passion for the craft show in everything he does. With his drive and determination, he has a bright future ahead and the potential to go far in the profession, possibly even competing in grooming competitions one day.
Outside of the salon, Riley enjoys music, video games, and staying active. He is also a big music lover and plays in a punk rock band, bringing creativity and personality to both his music and his work.
With his patience, passion for animals, and dedication to improving his craft, Riley continues to grow as a stylist and an important member of the Paw Avenue team.
Ava - Salon Assistant
Ava is a Salon Assistant at Paw Avenue who brings a caring attitude and a genuine love for animals to the team. She has been working at Paw Avenue since September 2025 and enjoys being part of a supportive team dedicated to providing excellent care for every pet that visits the salon. Through her strong attention to customer service and detail, Ava has quickly become a valuable asset to the Paw Avenue team.
A soon-to-be graduate of Dutchtown High School, Ava plans to attend Southeastern Louisiana University in the Fall of 2026. Her compassion for animals shows in the way she helps care for each pet that comes through the door, treating them with patience and kindness.
Outside of work, Ava enjoys spending time with friends, going to the gym, and watching movies. She is also a proud pet parent to her two dogs, Roux and Sammy, who regularly visit Paw Avenue to be pampered and groomed. Ava loves seeing them enjoy the salon experience just as much as she enjoys helping care for other furry family members.
