Meet the Owner
Elizabeth entered the world of grooming by chance in 2020. An acquaintance, now friend, reached out to her for a potential horticulture job. At the time, due to personal reasons, she didn't take the job but did take a temporary part-time job offered to her at the pet grooming shop. The shop was fast-paced, with tons of cute pups and happy pet-parents! It was not long before Elizabeth knew that she wanted to be in the pet-care industry, so she enrolled in grooming school. The first school was a fraudulent school, so after doing more research, she finally enrolled in Animal Behavior College due to their hands-on portion. After finishing the written portion of grooming school, Elizabeth drove to Mandeville three days a week for her hands-on (externship) portion of school for four months. This gave her time to listen to leading professionals in the Pet Care Industry, reflect on what she learned that day, and how to improve the quality of care for animals being groomed. She was already grooming out a vintage RV that her family and friends helped her turn into Paw Avenue in 2022! It was not long before Elizabeth began looking for spaces to lease, and after a long search, she found the perfect space in Prairieville, Louisiana. Paw Avenue opened its storefront in Prairieville, Louisiana on January 4, 2024, with lots of help from family and friends. Elizabeth is a lifelong resident of Louisiana, with a wonderful partner, great kids, and a zoo of animals (Charlie, Manew, Helios, Luna, and Buddy)! She believes in always continuing her education with workshops, educational trade shows, online and in-person educational platforms. The staff at Paw Avenue will be trained and treat every pet with respect. Elizabeth holds a certificate from Animal Behavioral College and a science degree from Louisiana State University, Geaux Tigers!

Presley
Groomer Assistant and Front Desk - Presley is a passionate and dedicated dog trainer and assistant groomer. From a young age, Presley discovered her love and talent for working with dogs, leading her to establish Top Dog Training Solutions at the age of fourteen, with the guidance of her father. Since then, she has been wholeheartedly devoted to the art of training dogs and has continuously honed her skills in this field. While specializing in service dogs, including medical alert dogs, psychiatric service dogs, and mobility service dogs, Presley is also proficient in basic to advanced obedience training and behavior modification. Her expertise extends to various dog sports, such as rally, dock diving, agility, and flyball. Furthermore, Presley has a keen interest in exploring other dog sports and is considering expanding into confirmation shows in the future. Surrounded by dogs (and one kitty), she has cultivated a deep connection with her four-legged companions. She maintains an impressive pack of dogs, but her closest working partners are Lucca, a European Doberman who is currently undergoing search and rescue training and has earned several trick titles and her Canine Good Citizen certification, and Marley, her personal service dog who has also achieved the Canine Good Citizen certification and holds several sporting titles. Driven by a relentless pursuit of growth and excellence, Presley has set ambitious goals for herself. She aims to obtain her CPDT-KA certification in the coming months, expand her grooming skills, breed dogs for service work, and continue earning titles with her beloved dogs.
Ginger
Administrative Assistant and Groomer Assistant - Ginger has been married to Jeff for over 30 years, they have two grown married daughters, and are expecting their first grandchild in February. She has worked on-and-off as a vet tech for twenty years, but her main focus was being a stay-home mother to her two daughters. Ginger loves animals with 1 dog and 2 cats. Ginger fostered Hooper and fell in love, he is a short haired mixed dog that captured her heart over five years ago! Her part-Siamese cat Dex is a senior , and her cat Oreo is almost a teen-ager. Ginger volunteers at Womans Hospital 2 days a week and is the Nursery Director at her church. She received her certificate for Nail and Ear Technician through Paragon School and is a valuable asset to Paw Avenue. She is very organized and always has a smile on her face even if she is drenched from a shaking dog or covered in hair from a deshed!
